Through Approaches to Learning in all IB Programmes, students develop skills that have relevance across the curriculum that help them “learn how to learn." They provide a solid foundation for learning independently and with others. ATL skills help students prepare for, and demonstrate learning through, meaningful assessment.

In 9th grade, MYP students are assessed on their Approaches to Learning Skills at the end of each quarter in the following categories: Communication Skills, Self-Management Skills. While this score does not factor into a students' GPA, it offers important insights to students and parents.
