Meridian Class of 2024 International Baccalaureate Diploma recipients

Family members and friends gathered at Meridian High School today as 17 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma recipients from the Class of 2024 returned to campus to receive their official diplomas. These graduates were part of the school's largest-ever cohort of IB Diploma candidates to that point, with 59 students earning the prestigious credential.

During their visit, some alumni shared their experiences and insights with MHS-TV, providing valuable perspectives for students considering the IB Diploma path. The television crew documented these conversations, creating content that will guide and inspire future IB candidates.

"I think this will be a helpful resource for students who are interested in pursuing the IB Diploma," said Meridian Diploma Programme Coordinator Josh Singer, noting the value of hearing directly from successful graduates about their experiences in the program.

The IB Diploma is a rigorous two-year program recognized by many of the world's top universities.

To earn the diploma, students must:

  • Take and pass examinations in six IB courses

  • Write an Extended Essay (EE)

  • Complete in the Theory of Knowledge (ToK) course

  • Complete the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) program

  • Earn at least 24 points
