Dozens volunteered their time to share their careers with students

Students listen to a volunteer take about his career

Through the efforts of BIE (Business in Education), nearly 50 community volunteers were on hand Wednesday morning for Career Chats with seniors during Wild Horse Wednesday.

Students were able to sign up for the career areas they are interested in, and attend a session with several speakers in related fields.

The group of professionals included architects, the chief of police, technology leaders, an Olympic gold medal winner, State Department employees, public defenders, city planners, business leaders, psychologists, educators, lawyers, and many more.

Students were inspired by the variety of career paths and also learned about transitions from school to work.
